Solutions for Waterproofing & Tile Application in Decorative Pools

Surface Preparation

It should be ensured that the reinforced concrete or plastered surface is free of residues that will prevent adhesion, clean, dry and sound. If there are defects on the application sub-surface, it should be repaired with 4002 Tamirart 30 thick repair mortar. If there are structural cracks on the surface, sulfate and chlorine resistant 4004 Tamirart S40 should be used. In order to ensure continuity of sealing, vertical and horizontal corners should be sealed with sulfate and chlorine resistant 4004 Tamirart S40. 4505 Kalekim Astar (Primer) should be applied before application of waterproofing material for extremely absorbent surfaces.


Waterproofing Application

Extra flexible 3032 İzoseal 2K+, which is resistant to both positive water pressure (from inside) and negative water pressure (from outside) should be applied for waterproofing against leakages and surface waters in decorative pools. The waterproofing material prepared according to the application instructions should be applied to the whole surface as 2 layers. The second layer should be applied after waiting for 5-6 hours between layer application depending on the ambient temperature. After the surface dries, it should be waited for 7 days for full setting and leak-tightness tests should be carried out for 24 hours.


Tiling and Grouting

In the glass mosaic application with aesthetic appearance on waterproofing material S1 class flexible, high performance adhesive mortar 1054 Technoflex in white colour should be used. You can differentiate your landscaping with the metallic glitter of gold, silver and bronze by using epoxy based 2955 Fugasim grouting mortar with glittering effect revealing the glare of glass mosaics and design your own aesthetic pools with one of 15 different combinations.
